With our enhanced portfolio and resources, the SAP Customer Experience Labs & Innovation team is now able to provide Design Thinking (DT) workshops to customers.
The first of our customer workshops, in this new setup, we performed with the Swinkels Family Brewers (aka Bavaria) in Lieshout, Netherlands, at the beginning of July.
The company was founded around 1680 and has been fully owned by the Swinkels family for seven generations. It’s the second largest brewery company in the Netherlands. And they even have a cooperation with the Bavarian brewery Ayinger. Furthermore, they were the first to produce beer with 0,0 % alcohol (and you almost don’t even taste a difference to normal beer…).
After a warm welcome and a guided tour through the brewery, we started with some inspiring talks on innovation and technical feasibilities, followed by a Customer Journey Mapping session. In the evening we enjoyed the generous hospitality of the Swinkels family.
On the next day we continued with the full Design Thinking cycle – from ideation to prototyping – in the great DT space at the SAP headquarters in ’s-Hertogenbosch. This resulted in two main solutions for the target group „beer consumers“ on one hand, and „bar keepers and their staff“ on the other hand. We are currently working on the proof of concept (PoC) and how to leverage the SAP Customer Experience software for the solution agreed upon.
Unfortunately, we can’t tell you more at this time.
Just one thing: we can definitely endorse the studies that beer makes you more creative – at least when consumed responsibly. 😉
