“Live”-coding to get a demo up and running for an event, minutes before the doors open? That’s basically bread and butter for SAP Hybris Labs. We’d probably be a bit disappointed if were deprived of this ritual. So, at the SAP Forum in Mexico City we stuck to this tradition.
But someone must’ve realised that we weren’t getting the kick from this as much anymore as we had in the past. We needed something more. Something stronger. Something to really throw us off our tracks!
So they cut the power…
Even a torch won’t help you to find the Signal in the Noise if there’s no power. Luckily, the spell of darkness didn’t last for very long and when the lights came back on, Signal became a centre of attention.
Our Mexican colleagues took over and did a great job in presenting our prototype. So we assume anyway… Since none of us speak Spanish we couldn’t actually understand what was going on… but it looked good!
Like two older SAP Hybris Labs prototypes, The Smart Wine Shelf and Infinite Cart, Signal will now also be installed in the SAP office in Mexico City. We’re happy to see how well our prototypes are looked after there and will hopefully be invited to bring something new again next year!
